In May 2025, a "Green Channel" was launched for medical visas, simplifying documentation and offering same-day processing for urgent cases. While an e-visa system is not yet available, these changes reflect a commitment to streamlining the visa process for genuine travelers.
Regardless of visa type, the general application process involves completing an online application form, preparing required documents, scheduling an appointment, and submitting the application in person at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) in Dhaka.
Each visa category, such as Tourist (L), Business (M), Student (X), and Work (Z), has specific documentation requirements. For example, a business visa requires an official invitation letter, while a student visa needs an admission notice from a Chinese institution.
